Level Design Challenge
Once again I was faced with a difficult challenge due to the restrictions on AI placement in the editor, after creating the environment originally it was almost impossible to spread the enemies out without making the game too easy for the player. To combat this I culled 2 sections of the environment to make it slightly more compact while maintaining the illusion that the gamespace is larger than what it actually is.

Before and after the "sandstorm" effect is applied. The effect was achieved with a simple fog layer, coloured to look like sand.






Conclusion
Whilst the AI restriction was limiting the scale of the level, I felt that the necessary design changes helped to ease it. The level of difficulty of the gameplay will suit a wide variety of players of differing skill levels and as long as they use the cover provided, should be able to finish the level without too much restarting.
